Josie Mann is a composer, songwriter, and vocalist.
Studying piano and music theory from a young age, she spent her adolescence performing in bands and singing in choirs, which led to a love of composing music centred around her voice. Josie is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music where she studied composition, honing in on creating music that is expressive and innovative, incorporating layered vocals and a combination of both organic and electronic textures. In 2022, she began working with the team at Sonar Music, lending her vocal arranging and composing skills to various projects including commercials, TV series, and documentaries, working alongside Antony Partos, Jackson Milas, and Matteo Zingales. She is also a passionate songwriter, writing and self-producing music for herself and local artists.
In 2022, Josie worked with Audiocraft to compose the theme song to their podcast 'Flirties', which has been selected as a finalist in the Best Original Series or Serial for the BBC Audio Drama Awards 2024. Following this, she worked on 'Bump' Season 3, composing alongside Jackson Milas. Later on in 2022, she composed on the SBS Documentary 'Inconceivable' with Antony Partos. Josie returned to the series 'Bump' for Season 4 the following year, which was released on Boxing Day 2023.
